Getting home at closing time as with many Ibiza clubs can be tricky. They’ll be cabs but expect to wait.

Inside Privilege

It takes your breath away when you enter the venue. It has an extraordinary sound system, the huge swimming pool and one-of-a-kind stage with erotic and artistic shows. The 25 meters-high ceiling allows to present spectacular shows and gives enough space to house a huge pool inside. Gorgeous views over the island is seen from the large windows of Privilege. The Club is Huge and you can easily get quite lost so if you are going to Privilege with a group of mates, you might want to tie yourselves together. The dance floor is one of the largest in the world and the main DJ booth is hanging above a swimming pool. Most unique thing of privilege is that a guy driving a bicycle in the air above the swimming pool during playing the Trance music.

Tiesto Stays at the Top!

Tijs Michiel Verwest: definitely this name seems not familiar, while this is the birth name of one of the world most famous DJs, 3 consecutive times ranked as the no. 1 DJ in the world according to DJ MAG Top 100 Poll (from 2002 to 2004). He is most known as Tiësto, a magician on DJ Console. In 2013 Tiesto stayed on the top of DJs Ranking as 2nd DJ in the World!

ARMDJ.com - Tiesto Club Life 2013

Tiesto was born on 17 January, 1969 in Breda, the Netherlands. He used about a dozen of nicknames such as Da Joker, Drumfire, Handover, Cirdcuit, Paradise in Dubs, Passenger, Rose, Steve Forte Rio, Stray Dog, Tom Ace, Wild Bunch, DJ Tiesto, Allure.
In 2001 it was decided to remove “DJ” label from his name and became just Tiesto, one of the most famous DJ names ever.

Starting the young career Tiesto founded some short-term labels (from 1994 to 1997), such as Noculan, Basic Beat and Lightning.
However the global fame shined on him when he founded Black Hole Records in 1997, where he released the BHR label’s CD Series: “Magik” and “In Search of Sunrise”.
In 2001 Tiësto realized the first solo album called “My Memory” which was famous with mixing of original compositions and club anthems. This album had more commercial fare. The following year found his catalog expanding with the release of the third installment of his hypnotically elegant, Ibiza-influenced, and aptly named mix compilation entitled In Search of Sunrise. Just Be followed in 2004, as did Parade of the Athletes, which served as the soundtrack to the opening ceremony of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. By the time Elements of Life appeared in 2007, Tiësto had added rock and pop music to his repertoire. Released in 2009, Kaleidoscope included a rangy guest list, running from Sigur Rós vocalist Jónsi to pop singer Nelly Furtado. A year later, Magikal Journey: The Hits Collection 1998-2008 rounded up some career highlights, while 2011 saw the launch of a new city-based mix series when Club Life, Vol. 1: Las Vegas hit the shelves. Club Life, Vol. 2: Miami followed a year later, featuring Tiësto’s remixes of Coldplay (“Paradise“) and Gotye (“Somebody That I Used to Know“).

It’s difficult to imagine that a 24-hour busy musician can sleep, let alone relationships. However, in 2006 Tiesto was in relationship with Dutch model Monique Spronk. Gossips say that in 2008 he cancelled his wedding with his girlfriend Stacey Blokzijl which was planned in Colombia. The reason for cancelling the wedding was the busy schedule and short time for preliminary preparations. It’s supposed that in 2009 this relationship was broken off because of delays to their wedding.

ARMDJ.com - Tiesto: the Flying Dutch!

Tiesto’s progressive house music usually hypnotizes the crowd even more than 8 hours. During the interview with DJ Magazine, he said that he had never been thrown off the decks.
One of the most impressive performances of 2012 is Tiesto’s Club Life Nights at Pacha Club in Ibiza, and White Sensation in Amsterdam.

Tiesto’s tour list from 2002-2013:
2002: Area2 Tour
2004: Just Be: Train Tour
2005: Tiësto In Concert: North America Tour
2005: Central Eastern European Tour
2006: In Search of Sunrise 5 Asia Tour
2007-2008: Elements of Life World Tour
2008: In Search of Sunrise: Summer Tour
2009–2010: Kaleidoscope World Tour
2011-2013: Club Life College Invasion Tour
2013: India Tour

3 Levels Up! Avicii no. 3 DJ

Avicii - Top DJ Ranking

Levels’ might have been the track that catapulted him to superstardom in 2011, but it’s perhaps this year’s ‘Silhouettes’ that best sums Avicii, and indeed the whole EDM ‘explosion’, up. For with its lyrics celebrating the fact that “We’ve taken a big step forward”, ‘Silhouettes’ is the perfect anthem for an era which, in America at least, could be as much Year Zero for dance music as 1988 was in the UK.
